Compare user objects filter

I am working in an Oracle Apps environment and the way the !#$#@!$#@!$# product is set up, the APPS schema has well over 70,000 objects. When I go to compare two objects using Tools -> Compare User Objects, it takes forever to load the list of objects. I then tried to set up a filter by double-clicking on the Name column heading and entering a filter like 'JPL%' but that seemed to hang. Not sure how to move forward from here...
