Compare User Objects and Compare Table Data on same user is useless

When using "Compare User Objects" and "Compare Table Data" it is possible to compare with yourself. That's useless of course, and it should not be possible.

And this is still possible in V9.0.0.1601.

Note that this is not only useless, but also dangerous.

You might wrongly think that there are no differences between 2 schema's, while you have selected only the wrong database.

Roeland,

I always make sure of my target database/account and have never had this problem.

Is this a common occurrence for you?

It happen once in a while. Ok, I'm very suspicious when everything seems to be okay, but when comparing just 1 table or package this is possible.

And it's just so easy to implement, the time that I'm writing this should be enough to implement it.

Marco,

can I suggest implementing some very simple system for tracking suggested enhancements with voting mechanism on your site? There are definitely things, suggested by others, that I'd like to see. And there are definitely things, that will not probably have any vote from any other person. It can help YOU a lot actually for prioritizing your efforts...

I find it annoying too, that PSD allows you to compare same schema with itself. How about just greying out and making it impossible to select the current connection in the dialogue of picking your compare destination? Should be quite simple to implement.
