Code Assistant 'hanging' PL/SQL Developer

One issue I have run into with PL/SQL Developer has to do with the Code Assistant. My problem is when I am running a long query in a SQL window or a Test window: If I make a change in the window, the Code Assistant will cause the entire PL/SQL Developer application to 'hang' until the current query or test is complete (which could be minutes or hours).

I realize that it might not be possible to perform any code assistance when the window's session is 'busy', but could the Code Assistant action be disabled if the current session is 'Executing'?

My PL/SQL Version is 7.1.1.1339.

Thanks
Juan

I support this request :-)

Isn't it possible to have the code assistant use another session so that it can still function while a query is running?

@Marco

When running the setup file there is a popup window (caption:Adminsetup) and the error message 'Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window'. Installation itself does complete successfully though.

Yes, the setup gives me the same error.
But if I ignore it, it says "Installed successfully" at the end

Thanks -- I'll give it a try tomorrow (after I've finished my current work task) -- don't want an unexpected PSD issue to stop my work!

Hopefully some of the 7.1.3 'issues' I've seen here won't be cropping up.

Which reminds me (and I should probably put this in the thread where I originally saw the issue mentioned) -- but hopefully the 7.1.3-double-click-selecting-different-text-than-7.1.1 has been worked on; how about adding a Preference to let a user decide how they want the double-click to work? (And I hate the fact that I can't double-click and drag to select more than one word; maybe if this was solved, there wouldn't be a need to automatically select the larger chunk!)

Uh oh - I snoozed, and it appears that I loozed! I guess I should have downloaded the file yesterday, because I can't download it now (sigh). (I guess the change will be available in the next general update of PSD.)
