Checking for New Updates and News fails

I'm currently running PL/SQL Developer v8.0.4.1514 and I'm having issues when checking for updates. I get the status "Failed (can't resolve hostname to IP address)". I went under "Tools"\"Preferences"\"Updates & News". The proxy settings are enabled, but the address is empty and the port is "80" (username/pswd are also empty). What should I be putting in those fields?

Hey Marco,

I un-selected it (seemed counter-intuitive) and the status went immediately to "Checking for new updates... Failed". Are the proxy settings supposed to be for my system or yours? My system is at a large corporation and sits behind several layers (firewall servers, etc.) Could that be interfering? If so, is there a way to manually download any updates?

The proxy information is from your company network. You can always download the latest version from our web site. The setup program will upgrade your current installation.
