BLIND MESSAGE TRYING TO LOGON TO A DB

Hello, we are running PL/SQL DEVELOPER 8.0.4.1514. When we try to log on to any DB (using the window "Oracle Logon", with a valid Username, Password, Database and Connect as "Normal") we got a window with title "Not logged on" and "OK" button but without any message at all.
The only option we have is pressing the OK button or close this window, but this action returns to the "Oracle Logon" window.
So, we can't connect to the DB.
We deinstalled and reinstalled the software without any success.
Pls your help to solve this issue.

My guess is that you are using an Oracle10g or earlier client on Windows 7. You will need to upgrade to an Oracle11g or 12c Client.

Hello, we have used the Oracle Client 10g with PL/SQL Developer 8.0.4.1514 since many years ago and it always worked fine.

We solved this issue as follows :
we detected missing files in the Oracle Client 10g, so we deinstalled it and reinstalled it, and now PL/SQL Developer is working OK as usual.

Thanks for your help.
