Application path with Brackets bug.

Direct Oracle Access 3.3.3 seems to have a strange bugs with DLLs and executables using DOA that are located in directories with brackets; It complains about some session stuff.
Try run App/DDLs in this directory on Windows 2000

"Testdir_v2.0 (12M)"

then change the directory to something standard like "MyApp"

What exactly goes wrong? If you get an ORA-12162 or ORA-06413 exception, then you are experiencing an Oracle Net bug.

The main problem is when our client install the system we develop. It shouldn't matter where they install it; is this a bug? I think it is...

Workaround is fine but it makes support a nightmare; especially with clients with a lot of users and strict rigid policies.

What does oracle session got to do with application file paths?

If takeout brackets the login goes through...
