Application appears to Freeze when access TOraclePackage

I have created an Application in Delphi 6 which uses the DOA Componenets v4.0.5 and access Oracle 8i v8.1.7

When it tries to use the Component TOraclePackage, The Application appears to hang, No Error message is returned, This Problem happens on Windows NT, The Same Executable work fine on Windows 2000 and Windows XP

Can anybody Help

Perhaps the procedure call hangs on the server? Perhaps due to a lock or a loop?
