For integration you first need to configure Git through Preferences > Files > Version Control. If you enable Git, and if you have installed Git Extensions or TortoiseGit, configuration should be automatic. The version control configuration is described in chapter 22.27 in the User's Guide, with TortoiseGit as a client GUI example. Chapter 16 describes how to use the integration.
