We are having technical difficulties to run "DEBUG" in some large routines that we have, and we would like some help.

When opening a procedure in debug mode, adding a breakpoint in a certain line and clicking on start, the program is running for hours and does not reach the breakpoint and also does not finish the execution.

For tests, I executed the same procedure in another software "sqlDeveloper" and in just 4 minutes the execution reaches the breakpoint.

This problem only happens in very large procedures.

Could you please give us some guidance on how to proceed?

My version is 12.0.3.1821
Oracle 12g
