Are there any plans for a 64bit version of PL/SQL Developer?
This would be preferable over supporting two version of the Oracle client.

Thanks

We are working on a 64 Bot version, which will be released after version 11.0 later this year. At the moment you will indeed need to install a 32 Bit Oracle Client on a 64 Bit OS.

Will version 11 of PL/SQL Developer also include a 64-bit version?

Because most of our Oracle installation are now 64-bit and it is fearful to install both oracle clients on the same machine.

We will indeed also have a 64 bit version of 11.0, which should be available shortly after the 32 bit version.

I hope we'll get a beta for testing soon like it was with 10

We'll have a public beta as usual for all registered users for both 11.0 and the 64 bit version.

This is good to hear. Being forced to use a 32-bit client forces us to develop 32-bit in Visual Studio... including the need to run IIS in classic mode, and other hoops. Thanks.

That's strange. What's preventing you from having two Oracle Clients (32 and 64 bit) on one machine and using 32 bit one for PL/SQL Developer and 64 bit for VS and IIS?

You can indeed mix 32 Bit and 64 Bit Oracle Clients on one PC without any problems.
