PL/SQL Developer why not support for Mac OS X?

there absolutely is! Perhaps people do not ask for it, because you can run it in a VM.
But wouldn't it speed up the demand for a new release?
We have seen the last release in August last year. To be honest, I gave up renewing my annual contract, because I do not see any issue in renewing for a IDE I have to run in a VM.

All my colleges have turned to a Mac in the last couple of months or are planing to. It is the most sex machine in the marked. Makes you much more productive.
Just imagen this in addition to the boosting version of PLSQLDEV.

Macs have become popular where I work as well and most run PL/SQL Developer through a VM. All of our DBA's use them and developers are starting to convert. Macs have a lot of what I loved with Linux and I considered it. I especially like the terminal programs and how they work with UNIX. I stuck with Windows only because of PL/SQL Developer and running it through VM seemed like, "What's the point of using a Mac then?" There's no way I'm giving up PL/SQL developer.

PuTTY is great. It's what I use. I also use MTPuTTY as a wrapper so there are multiple tabs and I can easily switch between multiple UNIX logins. In the past, I've also added an X-server to Windows to be able to run Oracle Reports on UNIX. All of that took time to research and set up. The X-Server took me lots of time to figure out and half a day to install (maybe others are faster than me!). I didn't bother with an X-Server on my new PC since reports are rare and I can do it on Windows.

I haven't used Macs either, so I possibly don't know what I'm talking abut. From what I've seen when I'm at their cubicles though, the terminals for Mac look very polished and have tabs built in. I know that in Linux, the X-Server is built in so X-Windows apps work without needing to add an X-Server. I think (don't know for sure) that Macs have that built in as well.

Anyway, X-Server, tabs, and a polished look. All working without monkeying around. That seems nice to me and that is what I meant when I said that. I also like the virtual desktops that Macs have.

On the other hand, I hear complaints once in a while that the Windows VM crashes and stuff and I'm not totally convinced yet that I should switch.

Our Mac Developers are switching to SQL Developer because PL/SQL Developer doesn't run on the Mac.

Hi all, dell just released Toad for oracle for macos, it's beauty at all ! you can try. and persuade your compony buy licence for it.

We're working on a new cross-platform PL/SQL Development tool for MacOS, Linux, and Windows: Plyxon. It is currently in beta.

It looks interesting. Any plans on a jdbc version that doesn't require Instant Client? Oracle hasn't released an instant client for M1+ processors yet.
