I get the following error when I try to set the Connected property of a TOracleSession to True:

"SQL*Net not properly installed"

What does this mean?

All applications that need to access an Oracle database require SQL*Net or Net8. When you try to connect to the database, the TOracleSession tries to determine the SQL*Net or Net8 configuration. If it is not installed, or if it is not properly installed, the error message you mentioned will occur.

If you get this error message and SQL*Net or Net8 is installed on your PC, then there is probably something wrong with the Oracle registry section or the Oracle home directory. The error message provides some diagnostics about the registry key and home directory. If this does not help you, please export the registry section

hkey_local_machine\software\oracle

and attach it to an e-mail to support@allroundautomations.nl
