Is there any configuration option in PL/SQL Developer, allowing shortening of tab names? I work in an environment with long databases' connection names, and quite long schemas' names. I use the multi session mode.
What I see:
pck_icon Edit schema_name.package_name@database_connection_name
What I want to see:
Schema_name@database_connection_name on the status bar and in the program name's bar + "pck_icon Edit package_name" or preferably "pck_icon package_name" on the tab bar. Optionally show schema_name or/and database_connection_name as a disambiguation if the same object name is opened from various schemas/connections.
A similar option is available in Emacs editor. It shows only file name with extension, when only one file is opened, but if two files with identical names and extensions are opened, then the shortest possible part of files' paths are added allowing disambiguation.
If this is not possible in the PL/SQL Developer 15.0, please treat it as a feature request.
