Hello there,

I am using PLSQL developer 12.1.

Whenever I use "Copy to Excel" function in SQL window, I see the first column has row numbers from 1 .. n.

Is there any setting to avoid that column?

thanks.

Yes, by selecting only the columns you need before the "copy to Excel" action. You can do that either by using ctrl-click on the column headers or click on the first header(not the one with the rownums) and then dragging all the way to the last column required. Btw, I use Libre office and that works even better then Excel ;-) and copy and paste in Google sheets works just fine as well.

You can also go to Preferences > Window Types > SQL Window and disable the "Include row number with export and copy" option.
