F8 keyborad shortcut not working on laptop

Hi,

use pl/sql developer and usually use f8 on my pc as shortcut to excute queries.

Now have laptop which use gotomypc to access my pc but when use pl/sql developer on laptop the f8 keyboard shortcur not working lenovo thinkpad laptop.

As workaround have to use session/execute which less optimal.

Anyone know how can use f8 on laptop to execute queries.

This sounds like it would be a laptop setting. I use F8 on my Dell laptops without issue.

lot of laptop have default behaviour to set special laptop control by default -- but to use the "original F8" key, you must press the Fn key also (i.e. Fn-F8).

I have the same issue on my Dell laptop. I did solve it...by using an external wireless keyboard instead, on which F8 default behaviour is the regular F8.

there is usually a Fn-Lock combination. on the lenovo that i use, it's Fn and Esc at the same time. that changes the defauit behaviour of F8 from 'turn wireless off' to the actual F8 button.

I find Ctrl-Enter more laptop-friendly, plus it's what certain other tools use and therefore easier to store in muscle memory.
