I am developing in Oracle E-Business Suite. The APPS schema has over 18,000 objects. When I try to do a "Compare User Objects" on that schema, it takes about 2 hours to get the full list of objects--even if I only want to compare a few.
Is it possible to add a dialog box to Compare User Objects that allows me to specify an object filter before the window opens up? In other words, the sequence would be:
1. Click on Tools -> Compare User Objects...
2. Dialog box opens asking me to specify a filter (could be reused from the "Find DB Objects" window).
3. The "Compare User Objects" window opens with the filter applied.
This would be really helpful.
Alternatively, if there is a way to interrupt the initial loading of objects in "Compare User Objects", I would apply the filter then.
This has been a big issue for us since PL/SQL Developer V7 and we would really appreciate some help.
Thanks,
Ara
