Can you go to Preferences > Oracle > Connection and let me know your "Session Mode" setting?
Thanks. The "Break execution" button is enabled immediately when I execute a query in the SQL Window with these settings. Note however that the first time you execute something in the SQL Window, it will first need to connect to the database. If logon performance is slow, this can cause a delay during which the break button is indeed not yet enabled.
Also note that the break button will not immediately have effect for some database operations, for example when waiting for a lock or when performing an internal sort.
Marco, when you executed a sql and it has one or several tables that will return 500 thousand rows, the execution break button does not enable, it stays 1, 2, 3 minutes without enabling it, it is only enabled when it returns all the sql data or when fill the grid buffer.
obs.: I'm noticing if I use the keyboard command shift + ESC, the execution break occurs even with the button disabled
I am also experiencing this issue where the stop button will not light up for a long period of time. This is new behavior that did not exist in 14.
I'm currently watching my query select from a table with a million rows in it and I can't stop it! The little hand icon is red but it will not respond to clicks. I have my buffer set high because sometimes it is useful and I used to be able to stop a query from returning rows but I'm on row 30,000 now and it keeps selecting and not letting me stop it!

Same here, when data is fetching on large tables, the stop is enabled, but I can't use it, unable to click anywhere in the application. I am using this very often, please have it fixed :-)
