Well, I just noticed that Softema.com updated their site. It says to use SQLAssistant for 7.1. Suck. I don't want all that. Just like using the simple I typed "sel<tab>" and get "Select * from ". I didn't use any of the other functionality.

Exactly right. I miss TexType.
Just like using the simple I typed "sel<tab>" and get "Select * from ". I didn't use any of the other functionality.
You can use the new built-in "AutoReplace" function for that.

Now, this is cool, but it would be even "cooler" if we could specify Template items as a replacement, since templates already support multi-line text and cursor positioning.

Something like this
sel=[Templates/DML statements/Select]

Yes - That would be WAY COOL. I would REALLY like that.

If that's not going to happen though, it would be nice if AutoReplace could have multi-line text and cursor positioning like TexType did.

That's the idea, since these features are already in Templates, it makes sense to reuse them. I hope it will take much less to implement this feature too smile

We're working on AutoReplace template support for 7.1.1.
