If I run a schema compare between production or a full test environment and a dev schema, it takes a long time (an hour is not uncommon) and the resulting huge report is full of thousands of 'alter table add partition' statements, which I am not interested in and don't want to apply to my dev schema.
Can we have a checkbox option to ignore partitioning differences so we can quickly compare the structure in terms of tables and columns etc?
Update: by way of example, I have just run a comparison for a schema of just under 600 tables of which 150 are partitioned. It took 2 hours and the diff report is 118K lines.
