Just today, when I start PSD and log in, I get the error:

Control 'dxDockToDoPanel' has no parent window

Then error: I/O Error: 133? (I didn't see this error after the second time, so I'm not positive of the number).

Now every time I try to open an MDI window, I get the dxDockToDoPanel error, as if there's no parent to hold them all?

I've tried rebooting first, then I re-ran the installer, but still get this error.

The IT department upgraded my laptop to use a solid-state drive a couple days ago, but I've used PSD successfully since then. So I'm hoping that's not it.

I looked at PSD command line start-up options, but didn't find any that looked like they'd help. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Stew

Can you first start regedit.exe and export the following section to a file?

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAllround AutomationsPL/SQL DeveloperDocking3

Send this file to me by e-mail (with a .txt extension).

Next, delete this section and start PL/SQL Developer again.

I got the same error today. Tried re-installing, etc. but it didn't help.

The error started when I closed one instance while another was opening, so I don't know if something was corrupted as two instances were writing to the same thing. I'll send you the same from the registry.

Thanks

Deleting the Registry entry fixed my issue.

Thanks,

Sorry I didn't report back there that Marco's suggestion solved this for me!
