XML-Parser in CLOB-Viewer is to slow!

Hi,

is it possible to deactivate the build-in XML-Parser of the CLOB viewer? It is so damned slow, it sometimes takes literally minutes to open a CLOB containing XML data. Just making it optional would be great, in 99 of 100 cases the parser is not needed anyway.... Thanks!

BTW, a simple option to save a CLOB to a file without opening the CLOB viewer would be great, too, could you just add a "save as" item to the popup menu of a CLOB column?

It is not possible to deactivate the XML viewer. You can however define an association between a column and an external viewer. This way you can for example view and edit a specific CLOB column in notepad by default.
