Version 11: Filter/Find Users in Object Browser

I have a large list of users. In Version 10 I used to use the find text box to help me find specific users. In version 11 this seems to have been replaced by the new filter box, but the new filter doesn't work on list of users.
Is there a way to find a specific user from the object browser without scrolling through a very long list?

Do you mean the "Users" folder in the Object Browser or the user selection list above the Object Browser?

"Users" folder in the Object Browser. Once this folder is expanded I have large list of individual users. Would like a way to quickly find one of these rather than scrolling through the list.

You can quckly type first letters of username, and as result first matching username is located.
