I have just installed the VSC plugin and I am using PlSQL6.x. I have read the documentation but I am not sure how to create a project file for the first time in MS Visual Source Safe?

What does the project file signify ? WOuld I have one project file for one db user?

All my VCS menu items are grayed out: only the Open Project, Preferences and Run Visual Control System menus are active.

Any help would be good.

You first need to create a project within Visual Source Safe. After that you can open this project in PL/SQL Developer and manage muliple files within this project.

BTW, that's true for other VCS software too. You have to create the project first.

We're using it with Component Software's CS-RCS and it works great. (Cheap too!)

Would you know if the VCS plug-in can be made to work with CVS as well?
