V8 problem with new search option in object browser...

Hi Folks

In the object browser, I hit the plus next to Tables to open the list of tables, then I typed some text into the Search box and pressed Enter. The search text was not found, then I realised I had mistyped the search text, but I could not change/edit the search text. I can select it but I cannot edit it.

It appears that, once the focus has moved to the tree view in the object browser, the edit cursor cannot be returned to the search box.

Also, I noticed that, when you drop down the object type (My Objects, All Objects etc.) list and click into the list, the object browser window retracts (like it used to for the new User drop down list in one of the beta versions). It should not retract until the mouse moves out of the object browser window completely.

Best regards

Billy

Hi Marco

I downloaded version 8.0.0.1482 and it does fix the search problem in the object browser.

However, I notice that the issue with the user selection drop down (once you navigate into the list of users, the object browser window retracts), and the issue with the right click menu (once you navigate into the right click menu on an object, the object window retracts so you cannot see which object you were right clicking on) are still there.

I noticed in another post that a user mentioned version 8.0.0.1483 which raises another few issues:

- what is the latest available version?
- is there somewhere we can find out what is the latest available version, and what issues it addresses?
- can we be notified when new versions are release?

Best regards

Billy

Indeed. We'll try to fix it.

We have a "News & Updates" feature for this. Go to Tools > Preferences to set it up. This preliminary patch is not published yet though.
