Using Compare User Objects in a Different Schema

Is it possible to compare user objects from another schema other than the one you are logged in as? For example, all of our database objects are owned by user "AAA". For security reasons we are taking away the ability for developers to login in as user "AAA". Can we still use the Compare User Objects feature to compare between our test and development enviroments without logging in as user "AAA"?
If no and this is a possible new feature, when would it be available?
Thanks!

Hi,

for the Target, at the Options-Tab you can specify an different Schema, that owns the objects, but not for the Source.

This would be a really nice feature as I find the compare object tool to be very limited in this regard.

I am never logged in as the user I want to compare, typically a root level user and for security reasons cannot get passwords to the other users. That being said I can't use the compare object tool hardly at all, but have full access to all of the tables I'd want to compare, it seems a little strange that the tool wouldn't let me compare them.

Anyway hopefully this can be a feature added in a future release =)

Hi,

have a look at Version 8.0. There will you find also an different Schema for the source.
