Unable to close Export Tables window

PL/SQL Developer
Version 6.0.0.840 (MBCS)
Windows 2000 SP4

If I encounter the error "ORA-00018 maximum number of sessions exceeded" when attempting to export data to file using the Export Tables window, I can't then close the window. PL/SQL Developer gives the message "Export window cannot be closed, Export is still busy" even though nothing seems to be happening. How do I close PL/SQL Developer other than terminating it using Windows?
