TUsersDOA Security Component for Direct Oracle Access Available

Hello there:

Tools&Comps, a company focused in the development of security components for Borland Developers, is pleased to announce the release of the new component TUsersDOA security Component.

TUsersDOA is a powerful component that allows developers to easily add password protection and access control to the resources in applications written using Delphi and C++Builder. This way your customers will be safe from unauthorized users having access to the application and also they can restrict the access of some users to certain parts of the application.

The component allows control to the access of the application through a login screen, where the user name and its password are requested. When the component verifies the user is valid, it loads the user access configuration from the security database and applies the user's restrictions to the application. Then the component will disable or make invisible all the application's components the user can't have access to, like buttons, panels, dbnavigator's buttons, dbgrid's columns, fields, toolbars, menuitems, Action items and virtually any TControl descendant.

We have been involved with Jackson right from the beginning with the TUsersDOA. Our main application, which relies very heavily on security issues, has been greatly enhanced by using this component set.

Programming field level security has always been a very code and time intensive piece of our development cycle, and using TUsersDOA has saved us literally thousands of dollars in programming time which is no longer necessary to expend.

And... the security tables, since they are in your Oracle database, can themselves be further secured within ORacle, thus providing a security environment which passes muster even with the most demanding of customers.
