Turn off Hyperlink?

Is it possible to turn off Hyperlinking? I do this a lot:

1. Double-click on word to select.
2. Ctrl-C to copy.
3. Double-click on new word to select.
4. Ctrl-V to paste.

I do it pretty fast and a lot of the time I end up invoking the hyperlink and have to wait while it brings up the table, function, etc.

Is it possible to turn off hyperlinking? Is it possible to move it to another key?

This cannot be disabled. I have added it to the list of enhancement requests though.
