Thinking of switching to PLSQL Developer, is it the best?

So I am thinking of switching to PLSQL Developer. I have not done a lot of plsql work but I want to heavily focus on it from here on out. My question to you veterans out there, is this IDE the best?

I wouldnt even ask this, but the issue is it is windows only and I am very much a mac guy. Sure, I could use a VM, but my little mac mini is already stressed for resources. So it looks like I might be going back to windows :(

"Best" is kind of a personal preference. My opinion is that PL/SQL Developer is the best. It has a lot of the right features, is easy to use, and the cost is reasonable. You have other options. The ones I know about worth considering are:

Oracle SQL Developer is free and works on Mac, windows and Linux. I very much don't like the interface, but it seems to work fine.
Plyxon works on Mac, windows and Linux. I like the interface a lot, but my opinion is that it doesn't do enough yet.
Toad is very good, it works on Windows and I think it works on Mac, but it is expensive. I haven't used it in a long time.
