Suggestions for Connection Manager

  • Autosave connections. If PD crashed I loose all new connections. So I have to manually export the connections every time I create a new connection.
  • Create root folders. I was able to do this by manually editing definitions in file and importing.
  • Clone/copy existing connection. We have many users/schemas in our database and need 3-5 similar connections for every database.
  • Inherit color from parent folder.
  • Import/export connections to Oracle SQL Developer keeping same folder structure if possible. We have a mixed environment with many developers/DBAs using SQL Developer.
Update:
Seems the formatting buttons are not working.

If fixed the formatting for you :)

I have added your suggestions to the list of enhancement requests. Some remarks:

To create a connection folder in the root, hold the Alt-key when pressing the "New" button.

To copy a folder or connection, hold down the Ctrl-key when pressing the "New" button.

The CTRL-key did not work :) I just got a new unconfigured connection. I held down CTRL when clicking the new button as you said.
