will be applied only after pld restart.

For some directorie settings this is indeed the case.

maybe u should redsign the window and put all these cases in a group and add a note above them that it should be in effect after restart, we cant guess that alone.

We'll add a warning when these directories are changed, just like with other preference changes that require a restart.
