sessions window not refreshing

Hi,

i am trying to reclain some space from my db. i am busy moving all the tables from tablespace a to tablespace a to reclaim some of the whitespace that has insinuated itself into the table through repeated updates / inserts. these tables can be quite big, 4 -> 6 GB, and so will take some time. i have set up the sessions window to read from v$session_longops to show how far through the operation the session is.

setting the sessions window to autorefresh every 15 seconds, you can see the database pixies moving the blocks from one side of the lego board to the other.

when i have a focused window over the sessions window, with the bottom of the sessions window visible, the session window stops refreshing.

can this be fixed please?

We'll fix it. It does indeed only refresh if it is the topmost window.

Richard,

You can use a Window Manager plug-in. It can refresh any standard window, including Sessions window, without such limitation!
