Search In Files

I'm using version 11.0.5.1775

I am trying to do a find and have it search in my files located on a network drive. This worked in an earlier version but it is either not working now or I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone tell me if it's the version?

I am able to search current/all open windows if the phrase exists.

Thanks.

It works fine for me. The search results are presented in the "Search List". Does it remain empty for you?

In the search bar, I put my phrase in the drop down box, and select the 'Search in files' icon. in the drop down next to this icon, I've selected my path and checked include subdirectories. Include *.sql, *.prc. Exclude *.~*;files.info

It executes pretty quickly, not like it's searching at all. And I'm 100% sure there are files that meet this criteria.

Anything else I'm missing to select or check?

I think it's my phrase... It works for a different word - without the underscore. It works for some with an underscore but not all.

I'll keep plugging at it.

Thanks for replying.

Does not work Search in files. This tool would be useful! The search is carried out in UTF-16LE encoding. All files are saved in the Windows-1251 encoding! How can I change the search encoding ??? Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The Search list is empty for me for these.
NLS_LANG: AMERICAN_AMERICA.CL8MSWIN1251
NLS_CHARACTERSET: CL8ISO8859P5
NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET: AL16UTF16
preferences\files\format\encoding also does not solve the problem in any way
