Request: keyboard navigation by typing first letter(s) of name in objects lists

I have a request to the navigation in objects lists (for instance Compare user objects, Export user objects, Export tables etc.)

Would it be possible to make the navigation work as in the Object browser, for instance if the user presses 'B', then the first object beginning with B is highlighted, if the user presses 'B and then 'A', then the first object beginning with BA is highlighted. This would be a very handy feature, because now the user has to use Page Down multiple times to find the wanted object. When the database user contains several thousand objects, there could be quite a long way down to the last objects.

Claus, I recall having posted the same question a couple of years ago. This is in fact already possible. However, you have to type the characters as you would when writing a sentence. So, 'B A', would take you to objects starting with A, but if you just type 'BA', you will end up at the first object starting with BA.

But I concur with you, that if you are in the Browser pane quick search should also work for 'B A'.

No, I can not get it to work.

It is not the object browser, that is the problem. It is the lists of objects that are shown when using functionality like "Find Database Objects", "Compile Invalid Objects", "Export User Objects", "Compare User Objects", "Export Tables", "Compare Table Data". Here I can not use the letter keys to navigate, only page up/down and the arrow keys
