Hi everyone,
I am experiencing some very odd behavior with my PL/SQL Developer application and I'm hoping someone here may have some suggestions to get me running again.
Beginning last week on Friday, seemingly out of the blue, my PL/SQL Developer would begin executing my queries over and over in a continuous loop -- never stopping. I would have to "end task" on my PC or have my DBA kill my connection to the database. I've tried different queries and different databases to help rule out a database and/or programming issue.
Another problem, when I open the application it always opens on my secondary monitor instead of my primary monitor -- even after I move it to the primary, close it, then reopen. It continues to default to the secondary monitor, which is new behavior as of Friday.
-- I scanned my PC thinking I had a virus, but I can find no evidence of having a virus.
-- PL/SQL Developer is the only application on my PC which is misbehaving.
-- I've uninstalled, rebooted, and re-installed with no luck.
-- I've uninstalled, rebooted, deleted the left-behind directory, and re-installed with no luck.
-- On Friday I was on an older version of PL/SQL Developer (can't recall which version) and the re-installs have been v.8.0.4.1514
-- None of my colleagues are having this problem.
Can you offer any guidance on how to get my PL/SQL Developer to work again? I suspect something changed in my Preferences, but I have no idea what to look for.
Thank you for any help you may offer.
Denise
