random crashes upon start-up

Hello:

From time to time, rarely, I get the odd crash upon launching pl/sql developer. This morning it displayed quite a few message boxes: "Privileged instruction". Only one was visible and another one popped-up as soon as closed the previous one. After I closed all of them the toolbars were empty. I closed pl/sql developer, restarted it and everything was fine.

Has anyone else seen this? This is not the first time it happened - different errors though - but it happened rarely enough to not be concerned.

I'm not sure what could cause this. The stack dump does not contain any useful clues either. Can you try this on s different PC to check if the error is caused by something in the environment?
 
It is hard to reproduce this because it occurs so rarely. I will keep an eye on it for now. Since I posted the message there have been no crashes.

I don't normally run anti-virus software but I did a virus scan with Norton and Kaspersky. I was worried that perhaps I caught something but I didn't find anything.
