Proxy Settings

Could you explain a new feature 'Updates & News\Proxy Settings' please?
I cannot find any info about it in PL/SQL Dev documentation.

If you access the internet through a proxy server, then you can enter the proxy server address and port here. If the proxy server requires authentication, you can also enter the username and password.
