I've been working quite a bit with the project items list and I find it really useful for keeping track of work in progress files. I would like to offer a few suggestions to make it better.
1. Don't force open files to be added to the project or closed when opening a project.
2. Allow multiple select/drag from the project items list.
3. If the same .prj file is opened from 2 instances and updated in one, the other should say "the project file has changed would you like to reload?".
