Problem with Date/Time Preferences

I have specified user-defined Date and Time formats in the Date/Time tab of the Preferences window (MM/dd/yyyy and HH:mm:ss). However, every once in a while the SQL windows seem to forget that I have set these and revert to Windows format. I've never been able to determine a reason why this happens, but it is extremely annoying. The only work-around I have is to go to the Date/Time tab of the Preferences window, click Apply, close it, and re-run the query.

That is strange, we'll look into this. If you are able to reproduce this, let me know the exact steps that lead to this problem.

This has been happening to me as well. I can't determine any chain of events that leads to it. I can tap-dance around it, but it's vexing just the same.

I'm running 5.1.4 against a Ora 9.2 server.

Now that you mention it, i remember having hard times with dates and the test window, the format seems to have been either forgoten, or changed .. as I used the "test" window.

Does any one knows why in Preferences the time format (user defined) has to be "HH:mm:SS" instead of "HH:mi:SS" ?
