preference disable multiple connection does not work

I have preference "AllowMultipleConnections" disabled.
When I open a sql window with connection "A" and logged on to connection B, the sql window keeps connection "A" (statusbar at the bottom of the window). I thought by disable the preference "AllowMultipleConnections" all windows get connection "B" (just like in version 8).

We switched this week from version 8 to 10 (10.0.5.1710).

Preferences
SessionMode=0
OpenTransaction=1
SelectedHome=OraClient11g_home1_32bit
AllowMultipleConnections=False
ConnectionsPinnedByDefault=False
AutoCloseConnections=False
StoreConnectionsHistory=False
StoreConnectionsPassword=False

I use preferencesets for different environments. In all environments the AllowMultipleConnections=False.

Who has a solution for my problem?

Thanks

Ronald

If the "Allow Multiple Connections" preference is disabled, then the connection indicator will not be displayed on the status bar of a window. It would all be the same connection as the main IDE session as displayed in the application title bar.

Can you go to Tools > Preferences > Oracle / Connections and check that the preference is really disabled? The symptoms indicate that this might not be the case.

My preferences are disabled.

My problem is solved
I clicked on the green light for the preference until it is black. Restart plsql developer and it works fine.
