Poor performance when indenting large amount of text

Hi,

I am using v12.0.1.1814 32bit on windows 7 64bit, and my indent level is set to 1 space (I sometimes have to manually indent text rather than using the beautifier).

However the more lines that I select to indent, the slower it goes. For example, I selected ~150 lines and it's taken ~11 seconds to indent the text by one space.

Earlier today, I had to indent ~265 rows by 12 spaces, so I hit tab 12 times. However, after half an hour of waiting, I had to give up and end-task PL/SQL Developer. PL/SQL Developer becomes unresponsive whilst it's struggling to do the indentation (fades and shows an infinite progress "spinny wheel" and shows "Not responding" in Task Manager).

Is there a setting that I need to set to improve the performance of indenting, or is this a bug?

I tested this and indenting 200 lines is immeasurably fast.

Can you send an example file where this operation is slow to support@allroundautomations.com, and also indicate which 150 lines you were indenting?

Hi Marco,

I've sent off an email with an example file that causes the problem.

If I select the 266 rows that I specified in the email for that file and quickly press tab 11 times, I see the slowness (although not quite as bad as the > 30 mins I saw in the original file, which I can't share as-is).

I'm hoping you experience the issue too, because if it's something to do with my laptop settings, I'm unlikely to be able to fix it as it's very locked down.
