PLSQL Developer does not work with 64Bit Oracle Client

As I discovered in the manual - system requierements - the PLSQL Developer needs a 32Bit Oracle Client and is not able to use a 64Bit Client. Due to this we need to spend extra time to get the PLSQL Developer working in our environment. Is there any work in progress, to get the PLSQL Developer working with a 64Bit Oracle Client?

Yes, we are working on a 64 Bit version right now. I don't have a release date yet.
