PL/SQL-Developer crash over VPN

Hello, following configuration:

Oracle Client 9.2
Oracle DB 8.0.7
PL/SQL-Developer 5.1.6
Cisco VPN Client

I can connect to the DB, see all Objects, can execute Querys, but when i do following, then the PL/SQL-Developer crash (disappears without message):

- export user objects or
- export tables in PDE format

Also Oracle Export does not work. I get error "ORA-02248 invalid option for ALTER SESSION".

I can not get the datas!

Seems like an Oracle Client issue to me. Can you go to Help > About, press the 'Info' button, press the 'Copy all pages' button on this info screen, and paste this text into an e-mail reply?

I know this post is 5 years old, but did you ever get your ORA-02248 error resolved? After using QE without a problem for 2 years and as recently as yesterday, this error popped up today. Thank you.
