Oracle monitor and midas

Hello all,

I still have problem using Oracle Monitor with a
MiDAS app server
Now I upgraded to DOA 4.x
Maybe is it the cause?
I tested OracleMonitor 2.0 lite and 2.1 demo
Do I need to purchase separately this product????

What exactly goes wrong?

The Lite version is free, the Pro version costs USD 50 per user. The Pro version additionally includes the statistics and query plan functionality compared to the Lite version.

I cannot monitor a MIDAS application server
if it is running in the background associated
with a user identity different from the
interactive user.
This was fixed sometimes ago (I asked the same
question in this forum and you told me to try
the 2.0 version)
I don't know exactly when it stopped to work...

This issue has been resolved in 2.0 and 2.1. Do you get any access violations or other error messages?

No. I simply don't see my app server in the "Applications" pane.
May the upgrade to DOA 4.0.4 made the
difference ?

Are you sure the OracleMonitor unit is included in the application? This is the only reason I can think of why the application would not show up.

Yes I am sure.
If I run the application manually in the foreground it shows up in the monitor.
I don't see it only when the appserver is loaded in the background by DCOM..
In DCOM I have configured this app with an identity different from the interactive user

We have not yet been able to reproduce the problem.
