OFS Delete (disabled?)

Just started using the OFS feature - very nice but... it says "Right-clicking on a file in the file selector gives you the option to Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete or Rename the file."

Tried that but nothing happens after the "are you sure" box is affirmed. Rename works ok, but I can't find a way to delete the file. Well, I *am* the DBA, so I'm sure I can find a way, but not through PLSQL Developer.

BTW, I've been using PLSQLDev for over a year and recently convinced my employer to purchase a 5 seat license. Held a training session to share what I've learned and hope to find time for more. Everybody loves it. One of the very few programs I've used that just "makes sense," with a few exceptions. Hasn't caused me to expand my sailor's vocabulary at all.

Thanks,

P.S. playing with OFS a bit more I'm a bit confused as to the behavior of the locations. I created three location names, but all in the same database/schema. I was thinking that they would behave as directories, only showing files that had been saved under the respective location names. Instead, I see the same files regardless of the location name.

So - the definition of a distinct location would have to be different schemas and/or databases? In other words, the location name is meaningless within a database/schema?

I'm not suggesting that OFS should be a full-featured content managment system; just that the documentation could be a bit clearer on what to expect of it.

OK - it's Saturday. I'm going to quit messing around and finding fault - for now.

We'll look into the delete issue.

A location is not the same as a directory. A better file system equivalent would be a drive or network share (and if you map 2 drive letters to the same network share, you see the same files & directories).

A location is simply a dabatase schema where the OFS information is stored.

Hi people! I've just started to play with OFS. Very interesting tool, i'm going to use it in the future!
And have found that problem with delete issue is a problem of mixing up two things: "yes" and "no" :-). If you'd like to delete folder or file from OFS - just press "No" when asked to confirm - and there you are. But if it happened that you have chosen to delete a file you need - press YES and nothing will be lost.
Some fun from our developers ;-) Pease, make patch faster, until it haven't become my bad habit - to press No instead Yes and vice versa :-)
