Not Logged on... after logging in (Failing to set the main connection)

1) Start the application.
2) Check that Tools -> Preferences -> "Allow Multiple Connections" is unchecked
3) Show the connections (not necessary for the bug, just for seeing what goes wrong)
4) Make sure that you are completely logged off. Session -> "Log off"
5) Connect to something that has no password defined in the connections, BUT USE THE YELLOW "log on"-KEY!
6) Notice that
-in the Connections there is no Green marker, but the grey key is turned into yellow
-the caption still says "(Not logged on)"
-"Session" -> "Log off" is disabled.
-You can't browse or do anything on the database you just tried to log on...

7) But the story goes on. Log on to a different connection. This works flawlessly, regardless if there's a password defined or not?!?

8) Log off.
9) Now try to use the connections. That works, expect that I'm receiving the logon warnings 2 times. (Check for Client & Server character mismatch)
10) Update: With an open command window, when logging off, I'm being asked for a password. Mind you, I was LOGGING OFF!

PL/SQL Dev 9.0.0.1610

I see some improvement in PL/SQL Dev 9.0.1.1613 on this issue, but not much:

1) Start the application.
2) Check that Tools -> Preferences -> "Allow Multiple Connections" is unchecked
3) Show the connections (not necessary for the bug, just for seeing what goes wrong)
4) Make sure that you are completely logged off. Session -> "Log off"
5) Connect to something that has no password defined in the connections.
6) If this works, do Session => Log Off
7) Now do Session => Log On. Fill in your password and check OK.
8) Notice that
-in the Connections there is no Green marker, but the grey key is turned into yellow
-the caption still says "(Not logged on)"
-"Session" -> "Log off" is disabled.
-You can't browse or do anything on the database you just tried to log on...
9) Open a Command window => This seems to be able to connect to the db...

10) Open a SQL Window. "select * from dual" => This don't want to execute
10b) Right-Click on dual and select "Query data". Et Voila! Now are you completely logged in, but the Caption still says "(Not logged on)"

11) (instead of 10b) Log on to the same connection again. Hehe, this time you succeed. Everything seems ok.
12) Have a command window open.
13) Log Off. PL/SQL Dev is still asking passwords for logging off!

14) Open a new command window => Could not logon as user@db
ORA-01005: Null-password...

Also, I'm still receiving the logon warnings 2 times. (Check for Client & Server character mismatch)

etc, etc

RESUME / RANT:

Please, check and debug the feature "Allow Multiple Connections" when it's unchecked.
When I log on:
-I don't want to fill in my password 2 times
-I don't want to receive warnings 2 times
-I don't want to get in a program state that was never intended.
-I don't want the caption to say "(Not logged on)"

When I log off:
- I don't want to fill in passwords
- I must not be able to log off when debugging.

When I'm logged off
- I want to be able to open a command window without being prompt for a password

...

Please fix it.

PL/SQL Dev 9.0.1.1613

PL/SQL Dev 9.0.2.1621

1) Start the application.
2) Check that Tools -> Preferences -> "Allow Multiple Connections" is unchecked
3) Show the connections
4) Make sure that you are completely logged off. Session -> "Log off"
5) Connect to something that will throw a warning at "Log on" (eg: Different character sets)
6) Notice that you will get the warning 2 times.
7) When you have a password defined in the connections, this will happen only when connecting from another instance.
8) There is also a difference when connecting using the connections and using the Session > Log on..

The other errors seems to being solved.

Thank you!
