Not able to login

Hello
I use pl/sql developer(11.0.2.) application, while i am trying to login to the application, it gives me ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified, i guess the path (oracle home path)set at the pc level is not taken in to consideration, could some one let me know where to set the home path ? or correct the existing path ?

Does tnsping work for your connection identifier?

Tools like sql client, and sql developer works perfectly fine. My oracle home is also set in the path like

E:\app\pc1\product\11.2.0\client_1;C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath;E:\app\pc1\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2\bin;
