You can start multiple PL/SQL Developer instances, and switch between them via the Windows Taskbar. The task name allows you to quickly identify a connection.
I appreciate your time responding to this. Currently, this is the way I work with pl/sql dev.
We also use Toad and one of the reason, I open Toad is this. I'm not asking you to copycat Toad.
We work with 6-7 databases and they quickly fillup my task bar and it is cumbersome to find the session I need. This is good product and we love this. Just finding more reasons to abandon our Toad.
Some of my co-workers have complained about this too. They hadn't noticed the little triangle next to the key icon on the menu bar that lets them connect to different instances that they previously visited. They seemed to be satisfied with that.
It's not like TOAD and I don't know if it would work for how you work or not, but I thought I would mention it in case.
Thanks for sharing!!
That connection option reconnects to the new source, however, I wish to keep my existing connection and connect to the new source. May be I'm asking little too much as this tool being PL/sql Devloper specific.
