missing Large Data Editor XML functionality

PSD v 8.0.2.1505 on Oracle 10.2.0.4

I'm missing the Large Data Editor XML functionality described in the docu.
In chapter "21.3 Editing XML" it says:

Pressing the Parse XML button will parse the XML document, and will report any errors. This requires that you have Net8 8.1 or later, and that the user has access to the SYS.XMLTYPE type or the XMLPARSER package.
You can press the Format XML button on the toolbar to apply standard formatting rules on the document.
If you switch to the plain text format tab page for an XML document, then the appropriate syntax
highlighting will be applied.

There is no "Parse XML button" in my Large Data Editor! Even if I look at xmltype data in a table as SYS user this functionality is not available.

What is exactly required and how do you get and verify that you have the necessary components? Thanx for your answer

Why does the forum search function not return any results when searching for "XML" even though there are two posts containing the search term just today?!

The Parse XML button will only be available if the document contains an XML header ().

It seems to me that words of 3 characters or less are ignored by the search engine, which would be a bit inconvenient. We'll check it out.

Ah, ok. Makes sense. That should be mentioned however in the doku as well.

Yes, it took me some time to get to this conclusion myself as well .
