An apology if this has already been registered.
This only occurs with a wheelie mouse:
On a date column click the "carat" to display calendar popup.
Click on the month combo
Using wheel attempt to scroll the list, the list does not scroll and the calendar popup is hidden.
The month combo is left floating; it cannot be closed without selecting an item.
On select one is prompted with a "Cannot set focus to invisible or disabled control".
Workaround: click on the carat and re-display the calendar popup.
